URGENT UPDATE: The Colorado Buffaloes women’s basketball team suffered a disappointing defeat against the Texas A&M Aggies, falling 59-46 in a vital matchup at the North Shore Showcase held at the George Q. Cannon Activities Center in Laie, Hawaii, on November 25, 2025.

In a game marked by offensive struggles, the Buffs shot just 34% from the floor (18-of-53) and a dismal 21.1% from beyond the arc (4-of-19), alongside a staggering 24 turnovers. This loss halted their four-game win streak, leaving them with a record of 5-2.

Texas A&M (5-1) capitalized on Colorado’s mistakes, led by standout performances from Ny’Ceara Pryor, who scored a game-high 23 points, and Fatmata Janneh, who dominated the boards with 15 rebounds and added 8 points. For the Buffs, Zyanna Walker led the team with 14 points and 6 rebounds, but her efforts weren’t enough to spark a comeback.

The game started poorly for Colorado, as they fell behind 10-1 in the opening minutes, struggling to find their rhythm. Despite a brief resurgence that saw them take a 34-27 lead midway through the third quarter, the Buffs faltered, allowing A&M to outscore them 32-12 in the final period.

After a promising start to the third quarter, the Buffs went cold, failing to score for nearly 7 minutes. A&M seized the opportunity, launching an 18-3 run that left Colorado reeling. Their scoring drought finally ended with a three-point play from Logyn Greer, but by then, the damage was done, and they could not recover.

Next up, the Buffs will look to bounce back as they return home to face Montana State on Sunday at 1 p.m. (ESPN+). Head coach JR Payne will need to rally her team after this tough loss, focusing on reducing turnovers and improving shooting accuracy to regain their momentum.

Stay tuned for updates as the Colorado Buffaloes aim to turn this setback into a comeback!
