UPDATE: Starting December 1, 2025, winter parking rules are officially in effect across the Triple Cities area of New York, impacting residents in Johnson City, Binghamton, Endicott, and Vestal. This urgent update means drivers must immediately adjust their parking habits to avoid costly tickets.

Residents are advised to familiarize themselves with the new regulations to prevent fines. In Johnson City, alternate street parking is enforced until March 31, 2026. Park on the even side of the street on even days and the odd side on odd days to comply. Officials emphasize checking house numbers to ensure correct parking. Notably, Red-Line streets are exceptions and follow Snow Emergency Route rules.

Officials in Binghamton have implemented similar rules, with the parking regulations ending on March 15, 2026. During snow events, motorists are urged to relocate their vehicles to driveways or designated parking lots to facilitate snow removal operations. Remember: under the motto “Think, park for tomorrow,” if it’s December 1 and you’re parked on the odd side, move to the even side by 5 p.m..

The Village of Endicott also enforces winter parking rules beginning December 1. Vehicles must not park on village streets or municipal lots between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. unless otherwise noted. Additionally, parking is restricted from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. after a declared snow emergency to allow for effective snow removal.

In the Town of Vestal, the annual Winter Parking Ban goes into effect at the same time. No parking is permitted on town roads between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. until March 31, 2026. Violations can lead to hefty fines, and residents are encouraged to share this information with others to prevent unnecessary penalties.

Residents should act now to adjust their parking strategies. To stay compliant and avoid fines, visit the official websites for Johnson City, Binghamton, Endicott, and Vestal for specific winter parking guidelines.
