Whitney Leavitt to Star as Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway
Whitney Leavitt, known for her role in *The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives* and as a semi-finalist on *Dancing With The Stars*, is set to make her Broadway debut next year. Leavitt will portray the iconic character Roxie Hart in the acclaimed revival of *Chicago*, a Tony-winning musical, commencing on February 2, 2026, at the Ambassador Theatre. Her engagement will run for six weeks, concluding on March 15, 2026.
This marks Leavitt’s first professional theatrical role, and she expressed her excitement through an announcement on Instagram. The Utah-based actress, who is also a mother of three, has gained significant popularity online, amassing over four million followers through her engaging dance videos and family-oriented content.
Leavitt’s connection to *Chicago* was evident during her recent appearance on *Dancing With The Stars*, where she and professional partner Mark Ballas performed an Argentine tango to the show’s famous “Cell Block Tango.” This performance showcased Leavitt’s versatility and passion for the arts, further fueling anticipation for her upcoming role.
The current production of *Chicago* features a talented cast, including Kate Baldwin as Roxie Hart, Sophie Carmen-Jones as Velma Kelly, Tam Mutu as Billy Flynn, and Alex Newell, a Tony Award winner, as Matron “Mama” Morton. Other notable cast members include Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart and R. Lowe as Mary Sunshine.
