Master Songwriter Craig Bickhardt Joins Marc Douglas Berardo for ‘Harbor Songs’

On Sunday, November 12, 2023, singer-songwriter Marc Douglas Berardo will bring his acclaimed concert series, “Harbor Songs,” to the United Theatre in Westerly, Rhode Island. The event will feature renowned songwriter Craig Bickhardt, known for his collaborations with notable artists such as Art Garfunkel, Martina McBride, and Kathy Mattea. Celebrating Songwriting Talent

With over 30 years of experience in the music industry, Berardo, also known as MDB, founded the “Harbor Songs” series to connect his fans with his favorite songwriters. The series began at The Malted Barley, where Berardo hosted his first concert featuring Grammy-winning artist David Olney. Tragically, Olney passed away during a performance in 2021, marking a poignant moment in the series’ history.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Berardo adapted by hosting online broadcasts. Upon returning to live performances, he featured a diverse lineup of nationally recognized artists, including Walt Wilkins, Danielle Miraglia, and Abbie Gardner from Red Molly. Berardo also highlighted local talent, inviting artists like Sandman Allen and Kyle Rathburn to participate.

A New Venue and Future Artists

After the closure of The Malted Barley in February 2023, Berardo transitioned “Harbor Songs” to its new home at the United Theatre. The inaugural show at this venue featured Grammy-nominated artist Ari Hest alongside special guest Kala Farnham. Since then, the series has welcomed other touring artists, including Grace Morrison and Jim Paradis.

Berardo’s concerts are designed to create an intimate atmosphere where songwriters share the stories behind their music.
