Northview Dominates San Dimas with 42-7 Victory in League Clash
SAN DIMAS—In a decisive display of talent, the Northview football team secured a commanding 42-7 victory over San Dimas in a crucial Valle Vista League matchup on October 17, 2025. The game showcased Northview’s offensive prowess, led by standout wide receiver Isaiah Lucero, who recorded five receptions for 164 yards and three touchdowns.
Northview quickly established its dominance. The Vikings opened the game with a meticulous drive, consuming over seven minutes before Dominic Munoz capped the possession with a 3-yard touchdown run, giving Northview a 7-0 lead. San Dimas faced a setback on its first offensive play when running back Adam D’Mato fumbled, allowing Northview to capitalize just moments later. Aaron Guillen rushed for an 8-yard touchdown, extending the Vikings’ advantage to two scores.
Lucero was instrumental in Northview’s offensive strategy. He caught a 37-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Robert Lucero, further solidifying Northview’s lead. Despite a turnover late in the first half—a red zone interception by Robert Lucero—the Vikings maintained control throughout the game.
The second half saw San Dimas struggle to regain momentum. The Saints’ offensive woes compounded when they turned the ball over on their first play, leading to another interception by Isaiah Lucero. Northview capitalized on this, scoring two additional touchdowns in the third quarter, pushing the score to 42-0.
San Dimas finally found the end zone with a 43-yard touchdown run from running back Jacob Gallegos with just 2:45 remaining in the game. This marked the only score for the Saints, who faced significant challenges throughout the match.
The victory positions Northview as a strong contender for the Valle Vista League title, with two games remaining in the season. Coach Marcel Perez emphasized the importance of staying focused as the team prepares for its next opponent, stating, “Like we keep telling them, it’s one game at a time. We still don’t think we’ve played a perfect game, so that is the plan.”
As the Vikings look ahead, they will host Alta Loma next week, while San Dimas aims to keep its playoff hopes alive against Baldwin Park. With this win, Northview has all but ensured a playoff berth, marking a significant milestone in their season.
