Urgent Alert: Suspect Exposes Himself to Teen in Palo Alto

URGENT UPDATE: Authorities in Palo Alto are actively searching for a suspect who allegedly exposed himself to a teenage girl on July 25, 2023. The unsettling incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. on the north sidewalk of the 100 block of Embarcadero Road.

The victim, a high school-aged girl, was walking eastbound when she approached Kingsley Avenue and was confronted by the suspect. He displayed his phone and requested directions. As he did so, the victim noticed his pants were undone and he was holding his exposed penis, authorities said.

After the shocking encounter, the girl immediately walked away and reported the incident to police approximately 30 minutes later. Officers responded swiftly to the scene but were unable to locate the suspect.

Described as an Indian or Middle Eastern man in his 30s, the suspect had thick hair and eyebrows, dark-colored eyes, and a dark brown mustache connecting to his beard. At the time of the incident, he was reportedly wearing a long-sleeved, collared button-down shirt with black pants.

Authorities have confirmed that there have been no recent similar incidents reported in Palo Alto, heightening concern within the community. The Palo Alto Police Department is urging anyone with information to come forward.
