Smith, a committed athlete to Toledo, is inspired by the success stories of players like Quinyon Mitchell, who was selected in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles. “The goal has always been the NFL, and Toledo has done it before,” Smith stated, showcasing his ambition and the groundwork laid by past players.

As a crucial part of the Morton Governors (6-3), Smith’s performance has been nothing short of impressive. Over two seasons as a starter, he has tallied 48 tackles, including three for loss and two interceptions.
