The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) confirmed that the full-size Peanut Butter Crush bars may contain undeclared cashews, while the full-size Ca$hew Cow bars may have undeclared peanuts. “Individuals with a severe sensitivity to these allergens run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume these products,” Zingerman’s stated in their announcement. Fortunately, the company is currently unaware of any reported illnesses associated with these products.

These candy bars, packaged in eye-catching boxes—yellow and purple for the Peanut Butter Crush (Lot #174250) and light blue and yellow for the Ca$hew Cow (also Lot #174250)—were distributed to retailers in Michigan and New York. The company discovered the issue after the Peanut Butter Crush Bars were mistakenly distributed in packaging that failed to disclose the presence of cashews. Similarly, the Ca$hew Cow bars were affected by inadequate labeling regarding peanuts.
