Galloway Township Offers Free Women’s Self Defense Seminar This Fall
Galloway Township is set to host a free Women’s Self Defense Seminar aimed at empowering women in the community. The event, organized by the Galloway Township Police Department in collaboration with Tap House Jiu Jitsu, will take place this November and is open to all women aged 18 and older who live, work, or attend school in the area.
This 90-minute seminar promises to be an engaging and interactive experience rather than a traditional lecture format. Participants will engage in hands-on training, learning practical self-defense techniques in a supportive environment. The focus is on building confidence, enhancing awareness, and equipping attendees with effective self-defense skills that can be utilized in real-world situations.
Empowerment Through Practical Training
Instructors from Tap House Jiu Jitsu will guide participants through various techniques designed to help them feel safer and more empowered. The seminar welcomes women of all experience levels, from complete beginners to those familiar with martial arts. Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable athletic clothing and come ready to engage in physical activity.
The seminar not only aims to provide self-defense skills but also fosters a sense of community among participants. It serves as an opportunity for women to connect with one another while learning valuable skills that could potentially enhance their personal safety.
Registration and Contact Information
Due to limited availability, interested individuals are urged to register quickly to secure their spot. Registration can be completed online, and details can be found on the Galloway Township Police Department’s official website. For further inquiries, participants may contact Captain Mark D’Esposito of the Galloway Township Police Department at [email protected] or reach out to Tap House Jiu Jitsu at [email protected].
This seminar is more than just a fall activity; it represents a vital step toward personal empowerment and community engagement. The initiative reflects the commitment of both the local police department and Tap House Jiu Jitsu to support the women of Atlantic County in their journey to feeling secure and confident in their daily lives.
