Father Creates Stunning Princess Cake for Daughter’s Birthday

She recalled, “I reached out to a couple of bakers but didn’t have any luck. It would have been easier to keep searching for a baker or buy a cake, but doing all of the leg work created a core memory that our daughter, Grace, will never forget.”

Corrigan captured the process on social media, sharing updates with her followers on Instagram. Despite her own aversion to cake, she was impressed with the final product’s taste, stating, “The maddest thing is I hate cake, but it genuinely tasted amazing.”

The cost of creating the cake was substantial, totaling over $1,000 (£800). According to a survey conducted by the Everyday Health Group in 2024, parents spend an average of $314 on a child’s birthday party, with one in five exceeding $500. As children grow older, these expenses often increase, illustrating the commitment parents have to creating special memories.

The cake revealed itself to be a viral sensation, garnering nearly 14,000 views on Instagram, as users praised Bolger’s dedication.
