The Dallas-based distillery, Dynasty Spirits, has launched a new line of zero-proof liquors under the brand name Teaspoon. This innovative collection includes non-alcoholic whiskey, tequila, gin, and an Italian Spritz, all designed to cater to the growing demand for non-alcoholic options. Each 700ml bottle is priced at $32.99 and is already available for shipping nationwide, with plans to reach over 400 Texas retailers by the end of the year.

Devin Odell, the founder of Dynasty Spirits, expressed his vision for Teaspoon, stating, “Teaspoon was born from a simple belief: that the drink in your hand should match the moment you’re in.” He emphasized that these products are not just alternatives to alcoholic spirits but represent a commitment to flavor and intention in every sip.

Flavor Profiles and Unique Offerings

For enthusiasts of mocktails, Teaspoon’s offerings have distinct tasting notes. The zero-proof whiskey features a delightful blend of cherry, vanilla, caramel, and citrus zest, leading to a bourbon-style sweetness that finishes dry and peppery. The tequila presents an aromatic profile of cracked black pepper with hints of pineapple and guava, complemented by citrus mid-notes and a lightly sweet oak finish.

The gin captures the essence of a classic London Dry, with a nose of lemon zest and elderflower, while delivering a dry, herbal taste. The Italian Spritz, reminiscent of a popular bright-orange cocktail, balances sweet red licorice and bitter orange peel, starting with a bright orange-candy flavor and transitioning to juicy grapefruit before concluding with an herbal bitterness.

The name Teaspoon reflects a culinary history, alluding to the prized gilt silver spoons of England’s upper class, which were once rare due to the imported tea from Asia.

Retail Collaborations and Launch Event

In conjunction with the launch of its non-alcoholic beverages, Teaspoon is unveiling a collection of custom retail products. Collaborations include partnerships with well-known brands such as Marcello Andres, Shelton Metal, and Match 1995. This collection features linen cocktail napkins, bespoke glassware, and artful pewter teaspoons, each representing one of the zero-proof liquors.

Dallas residents can experience Teaspoon first-hand at a launch event scheduled for November 6, 2023, at the Shop Swoon boutique located within the Joule Hotel. Attendees will have the opportunity to taste and purchase the new products, available until November 9.

As the zero-proof liquor movement continues to expand, Teaspoon aims to offer a fresh alternative for those seeking flavorful and intentional drinking experiences without the effects of alcohol.
