Community Events This Weekend in Loveland and Fort Collins
This weekend, the Loveland and Fort Collins areas are buzzing with community events, from fundraisers supporting veterans to engaging cultural activities. Residents can participate in various activities that cater to diverse interests on Sunday, November 9.
Health4Heroes, a nonprofit supporting veterans and first responders, will host the “Step Up For Vets” workout event from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Loveland Sports Park, located at 950 N. Boyd Lake Ave. Registration is set at $25, with proceeds dedicated to assisting veterans in the community. Participants can sign up via eventbrite.com.
In the afternoon, book lovers can gather at Loveland Aleworks, located at 118 W. Fourth St., for the Bindings & Brews Book Club from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The group will conclude discussions on “Witchcraft for Wayward Girls” by Grady Hendrix. This gathering is free and welcomes all literary enthusiasts.
Additionally, music fans can enjoy live performances at the Tom Davis Saloon, where the band Cattywampus will play a mix of pop, R&B, and country from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. The venue is located at 450 N. Cleveland Ave.
For those interested in gaming, the Boise Tavern will host a Texas Hold’em poker event from 6:00 to 7:15 p.m., offering a free opportunity for poker enthusiasts to test their skills at 1475 N. Boise Ave.
Cultural discussions will take place at Colorado State University from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., where a learning series titled “Refuge, Rights, and Community” will address immigration issues, including a documentary screening of “Refuge.” This free event requires registration at bit.ly/4hhzHl1.
The NoCo Potters Guild will hold its Holiday Pottery Market from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Northside Aztlan Community Center, located at 112 Willow St. in Fort Collins. This market is an excellent opportunity for holiday shopping and supporting local artisans.
Later in the day, the Off the Hook Arts organization will host its Event of Note Gala at Ed Carroll Motors Showroom, starting at 2:30 p.m. The event features a silent auction, wine, appetizers, and live music. For those seeking comedy, the Bas Bleu Theatre will feature “Comedy Brewers” at 7:00 p.m. for $10. Meanwhile, The Comedy Fort will host “Moms Unhinged” at the same time, with tickets priced at $25 for ages 21 and older.
Families with children can enjoy Barnes & Noble’s Story Time from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., featuring a different picture book each week at 4045 S. College Ave.

The weekend concludes with the Aims Community Theater presenting “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof,” a classic play by Tennessee Williams, through November 16. Performances at the Ed Beaty Hall Theater on the Aims Community College Greeley Campus are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Fridays, and 1:00 and 7:00 p.m. on Saturdays, with tickets priced at $15 available at aims.co/cat-tix.
