UPDATE: The latest AP Top 25 poll for the 2025-26 men’s college basketball season has just been released, and it features significant shake-ups after thrilling matchups over the weekend. The Purdue Boilermakers have reclaimed the No. 1 spot after a stunning victory over ranked Alabama, dropping the former top team, the Houston Cougars, to No. 2.

With the new rankings confirmed earlier today, the Boilermakers are now sitting at a perfect 4-0 record. Their latest victory marks just their third road win against a non-conference AP Top-10 team in history. The Cougars, also at 4-0, have faced tough competition, with their recent win against Auburn adding to their impressive record against ranked opponents.

The UConn Huskies maintain their position at No. 3, while Duke and Arizona have swapped places, rounding out the top five. Duke’s Cameron Boozer continues to shine, tying a remarkable achievement with 35 points in a game, a feat only accomplished by two other Duke players in the past 45 years.

Among the biggest risers this week are Louisville, Illinois, and Gonzaga, each climbing six spots to land at No. 6, 8, and 13, respectively. Meanwhile, Texas Tech and UCLA have both dropped four spots, now positioned at No. 15 and 19.

In a surprising twist, the NC State Wolfpack has entered the Top 25 for the first time this season, following a strong performance against UNC Greensboro, where Darrion Williams posted a career-high 32 points.

As teams gear up for their next matchups, all eyes will be on the action this week:

– **Purdue** faces **Memphis** on Thursday, November 9, at **6 p.m. ET** on CBSSN.
– **Houston** will play **Rider** on the same day at **9 p.m. ET** on TNT/truTV.
– **UConn** and **Arizona** clash on Wednesday, November 8, at **7 p.m. ET** on FS1.
