The Golden State Warriors will be without forward Draymond Green for their game against the Utah Jazz on March 18, 2024, due to a right foot sprain. Green sustained the injury during a recent match against the Portland Trail Blazers, where he was accidentally struck by center Donovan Clingan while both players fought for a loose ball. This injury adds to the challenges facing a Warriors frontcourt that is already facing significant setbacks.

In addition to Green’s absence, Jonathan Kuminga will miss his sixth consecutive game due to bilateral knee tendinitis. Despite undergoing an MRI that confirmed no structural damage, Kuminga has been experiencing persistent soreness for about two weeks. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr expressed uncertainty regarding Kuminga’s return, stating, “He said he’s not moving that well, so I can’t tell you what the outlook is. He needs to feel better and be able to move better before we can put him out there.”

The injury woes do not end there for the Warriors. Veteran player Al Horford is also sidelined, forced to leave the game against the Trail Blazers after 18 minutes of play. Initially ruled out due to hamstring tightness, his condition has since been updated to sciatic nerve irritation on his right side. Horford is expected to miss at least the next three games, including matchups against the Jazz, Blazers, and New Orleans Pelicans.

As the Warriors navigate these injuries, the team’s depth will be tested. The absence of key players like Green and Kuminga limits the Warriors’ options, placing more pressure on the remaining roster to step up. With the playoffs approaching, the team is keen to manage these injuries effectively while maintaining their competitive edge.
