Gabriel Luna Eager to Return as Ghost Rider in Marvel Universe
Gabriel Luna, who portrayed Robbie Reyes, also known as Ghost Rider, in the television series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., has expressed a strong interest in returning to the Marvel universe. In a recent interview, he discussed his fond memories of playing the character and indicated that he is open to reprising the role in future projects.
During a promotional event for his upcoming project, The Astronaut, Luna reflected on his time in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. He emphasized his lasting connection to the Ghost Rider character and the broader Marvel narrative. The 42-year-old actor, who has recently been recognized for his role as Tommy in HBO’s The Last of Us, conveyed his enthusiasm, stating, “I’m open to it.” He added, “As somebody who loved that part and loves that character with all his heart, I always keep the door open.”
Fond Memories and Co-Star Appreciation
Luna also shared his appreciation for his former co-stars from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., including Clark Gregg, Chloe Bennet, and Ming-Na Wen. He highlighted their recent discussions at New York Comic Con, where they praised the Ghost Rider storyline, particularly from the fourth season of the series. Luna noted, “For them to hold that season as the jewel of their experience really is special.”
The actor’s affection for the character was evident as he concluded, “Yeah, I love Robbie, I love the Ghost Rider.” His admiration not only reflects his passion for the role but also underscores the importance of the connections formed during the production of the show.

In the same interview, Luna elaborated on his recent acting choices, drawing parallels between his roles in The Astronaut and The Last of Us. He emphasized that both characters embody significant emotional depth, stating, “There’s a lot of heart to these characters.”
