November 2025 Sees Unique Lego Releases with Goonies Adventure
Lego has announced the release of two new sets for November 2025, a surprising decision given the typically robust lineup for this time of year. Scheduled for launch, the new sets include a themed model based on the beloved film The Goonies and an intricate Tropical Aquarium.
Both sets emphasize display quality and interactive features, appealing to collectors and fans alike. The Goonies set, priced at $329.99 (approximately £269.99), stands out for its engaging design that incorporates multiple working traps reminiscent of scenes from the film. This model not only serves as a tribute to the classic 1985 adventure but also invites builders to relive the excitement of discovering hidden treasures.
Highlighting the Goonies Set
The Goonies set is notable for its detailed diorama, which captures key moments from the movie. Unlike traditional Lego sets that focus on a single location, this kit consists of various vignettes that showcase the film’s iconic scenes. The model measures 2,912 pieces and includes twelve minifigures, enabling builders to recreate their favorite characters and scenes.
Interactive elements include a skeleton organ that triggers a floor trap, a secret fireplace entrance leading to hidden caverns, and pipes that can simulate ‘leaks’ on the villainous Fratellis. Such features are designed to evoke a sense of nostalgia and wonder among fans of the film. The set will be available starting November 4, 2025, with early access for Insiders from November 1, 2025.
Tropical Aquarium: A Colourful Addition
Alongside The Goonies set, Lego will release the Tropical Aquarium, priced at $479.99 (around £399.99). This set is designed to provide a vibrant underwater landscape that can serve as an eye-catching display piece for any shelf or desk. Measuring 20.5 inches (52 cm) wide, the aquarium features interactive elements such as knobs and cranks that allow users to animate the miniature sea life, including ‘brickfish’ and a popping crab.
The Tropical Aquarium set will launch on November 16, 2025, with early access for Insiders starting on November 13, 2025. Furthermore, a limited-time gift-with-purchase offer includes the Fish Tank Filter & Fish Food accessory for those who buy the aquarium while supplies last, available until November 19, 2025.
Gifts with Purchase for Collectors
In addition to the new sets, Lego is offering themed gifts with purchases throughout November. Buyers of The Goonies set can receive The Walshes’ Attic as a bonus, which recreates another significant moment from the film. This promotion runs until November 7, 2025.
Additionally, those who spend over $130 (or £115) on Lego products will have the opportunity to receive the Classic Animation Scenes set, which includes 270 pieces and one minifigure, available until November 11, 2025.
Lego’s November 2025 release schedule reflects a unique approach, focusing on fewer but more intricate sets that cater to both nostalgic fans and new collectors. The company continues to innovate within the building toy market while engaging audiences with beloved themes.
