Travis Kelce and Brother Celebrate Adorable Dog Costume on Podcast
A unique Halloween costume has caught the attention of NFL star Travis Kelce and his brother, Jason Kelce. During the October 29, 2023, episode of their podcast, “New Heights,” the brothers reviewed fan submissions and were particularly charmed by a dog dressed as Taylor Swift‘s engagement ring.
Jason Kelce, 37, expressed his delight, stating, “[In this one, a] dog is Taylor’s ring… That’s adorable! That’s a f***ing great costume. That’s a 10 out of 10.” Travis, 36, echoed this enthusiasm, calling the dachshund’s ensemble “hilarious.”
The dog costume is a nod to the engagement ring that Travis Kelce designed for Swift, 35, in August. He collaborated with jeweler Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry to create the bespoke piece, featuring an old mine brilliant cut diamond set on a gold band with smaller stones. Swift recently shared details about the ring during an interview on the U.K.’s Heart radio station, revealing her excitement upon seeing it for the first time.
“I had shown him a video a year and a half ago, and he was just paying attention to everything, it turns out,” Swift explained. “When I saw the ring, I was just, like, [gasping]. I was like, ‘I know who made that! I know who made that! And also, you listen to me.’”
Swift noted that the ring’s significance goes beyond its aesthetic appeal. “I look at it constantly… It doesn’t feel, in any way, normal for me,” she said on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” She emphasized the emotional connection to the ring, stating, “The fact that this is the person that I get to hang out with every day forever is just, like, that’s the whole thing of it.”
As the couple navigates their engagement, they are reportedly starting to consider wedding plans. According to a source speaking to Us Weekly, both Swift and Kelce are heavily involved in the planning process, with Swift finding it endearing that Travis wants to help. “They don’t want a long engagement and very much want to start a family in the next year or so. Family means everything to them,” the insider revealed.
Swift, who has not previously fantasized about wedding planning, shared her thoughts about the future. “You would think that I had been the type of person who would have been obsessed over the idea of a wedding my whole life, but I actually never thought about what I would do or what I would want until I met the person,” she explained during the same radio interview.
As fans continue to celebrate the couple’s love, the Halloween costume has added a playful layer to their public narrative, showcasing the joyous intersection of sports and pop culture.
