Families Celebrate Halloween with Trunk or Treat at Flagship Cinemas

On October 18, Flagship Premium Cinemas in Churchville hosted its annual “Trunk or Treat at the Movies” event, drawing a large crowd of families and children dressed in festive costumes. The event transformed the cinema’s parking lot into a lively Halloween celebration, where attendees could collect candy from creatively decorated vehicle trunks.

Children engaged in various activities, showcasing their costumes and enjoying the festive atmosphere. Brooks Bradley, a nine-year-old from Bel Air, was spotted posing with Viane Vargas, who dressed as Art the Clown from the horror film series *Terrifier*. This year’s event featured a mix of traditional and contemporary costumes, reflecting diverse themes from popular culture.

Many participants embraced the Halloween spirit. Cole Waggoner, also nine and from Aberdeen, showcased his elaborate scary bunny outfit, while Paul Applegate and his seven-year-old daughter, Aubrey, donned matching outfits inspired by the film *A League of Their Own*, distributing candy to excited visitors.

The atmosphere was further enhanced by creative trunk displays. Residents Canon Holmes and Stella Rineer, dressed as characters from *Willy Wonka*, provided sweets to children while showcasing their colorful costumes. Families, including Brenda Killen and her daughters, Addisyn and Avery, coordinated their Scooby-Doo themed costumes, adding to the event’s vibrant community spirit.

In addition to candy collecting, the event featured interactive experiences. Madeline Price, a salon leader at Hair Cuttery, was on hand to add glitter spray to the hair of four-year-old Tova Mills from Bel Air, creating a whimsical touch for the young attendees.

The event’s entrance featured an inflatable castle, welcoming hundreds of visitors who streamed through to partake in the festivities. Participants enjoyed a variety of trunk displays, including a popular dinosaur-themed setup that captivated the attention of many children.
