Walmart Launches Early Black Friday Sales with Major Discounts
Black Friday sales at Walmart have begun with significant discounts across a wide range of products, including electronics, appliances, furniture, and beauty items. This year, Walmart has introduced a new approach by dividing its Black Friday offerings into three distinct sales events, named “Whoknewville.” The first event took place from November 14 to 16, available both online and in-store, while the second event is scheduled for November 25 to 30. The final sales event will commence on December 1, coinciding with the lead-up to Cyber Monday.
According to Walmart’s president and CEO, John Furner, the retailer aims to solidify its reputation as a leader in Black Friday sales. Furner stated, “For years, Walmart has owned Black Friday—and this year we’re proving why. We’re dropping up to 60% off top brands and offering thousands of deals under $20, making it clear: nobody does low prices like we do.”
Key Details About Walmart’s Black Friday Sales
For consumers looking to take advantage of these discounts, Walmart’s sales offer a variety of opportunities. Whether shoppers are in search of a new smart TV, preparing for the holiday season with gifts, or acquiring kitchen essentials, the retailer provides substantial savings without the need to navigate crowded stores.
While the first sale has concluded, preparations for the upcoming second event are underway. Notably, members of Walmart+ will benefit from an additional perk, gaining five hours of early access starting on November 24 at 19:00 ET. This early access allows Walmart+ members to secure popular items before they are sold out.
On Black Friday, Walmart will open its stores early at 6 a.m. and remain open until midnight for in-person shopping. For those preferring a more convenient option, the retailer also provides curbside pickup, Express Delivery in under 30 minutes, and two-day shipping. However, these services are usually available only to Walmart+ members, making it advisable for shoppers to consider this membership prior to the sales.
Shopping Strategies for Walmart’s Black Friday Events
To maximize savings during the Black Friday period, shoppers may benefit from planning ahead. Identifying desired items and creating a shopping list can help streamline the experience, particularly during the heightened activity of the sales events.
Walmart’s strategy to extend Black Friday into several events reflects a commitment to customer convenience and satisfaction. As consumers gear up for this shopping season, Walmart’s early Black Friday sales present a noteworthy opportunity to secure quality items at reduced prices.
