Basketball Teams Announce 2025-2026 Schedules Across Kansas
As the 2025-2026 basketball season approaches, teams across Kansas have released their schedules, showcasing a competitive lineup of games that will engage fans throughout the winter months. Schools such as Great Bend, Ellinwood, and Larned are set to participate in numerous tournaments and matchups, providing students and communities with exciting opportunities to support their teams.
Highlights from Key Schedules
The Great Bend basketball team will kick off its season on December 5 with a matchup against Andover Central in Hutchinson. Following this, they will face Wichita Carroll on December 6. The team’s schedule includes notable games such as a home contest against Hays TMP on January 27 and a challenging stretch from January 22 to January 24, when they will participate in the Salina Tournament.
In addition, the Ellinwood team will begin its campaign on December 5 with an away game at La Crosse. They will also compete in the Greensburg Tournament from December 9 to December 13. Other significant dates include contests against Central Plains on December 18 and Lyons on January 30.
The Larned team opens its season on December 4 at Pratt and will participate in the Larned Keady Classic from December 8 to December 13. Key games include a home matchup against Nickerson on January 13 and a challenging away game against Smoky Valley on February 24.
Additional Team Schedules
The Central Plains team will start its season on December 5 against Smoky Valley, followed by participation in the Russell Tournament from December 9 to December 13. They will also face Macksville on January 11.
For the Chase team, the season opener is set for December 5 against Kinsley, with a tournament scheduled from December 8 to December 12. Their schedule also features a home game against Victoria on December 19.
Macksville will kick off its season on December 5 against Ness City and will also be part of the Larned Keady Classic. The team will face Central Christian on December 16 and will participate in the St. John Midwinter Classic from January 19 to January 24.
The Otis-Bison team has scheduled their season opener on December 2 at Tescott, with several away games to follow, including a key match against Ness City on December 16.
