The latest high school football rankings for Week 12 of the 2025 season have been released, with the Bay Area News Group maintaining its focus on the top-performing teams in the region. The list continues to be led by the undefeated De La Salle team, which remains a dominant force with a record of 10-0 following a well-executed 47-15 victory over Clayton Valley Charter.
As the playoffs approach, the competition intensifies. De La Salle will face San Ramon Valley in the NCS Open/Division I playoffs this Friday at 19:00. Their consistency has solidified their position at the top, with the team showcasing both strong offense and defense throughout the season.
Top Teams in the Rankings
The rankings reveal a competitive landscape, with other top teams closely trailing De La Salle. Archbishop Riordan also boasts an impressive record of 10-0 after defeating Serra 42-35. The team is set to play Salinas on Saturday at 13:00 in the CCS Open/Division I playoffs, furthering their pursuit of a championship.
Following Archbishop Riordan, Pittsburg holds the third position with a 9-1 record after a decisive 56-3 win against Antioch. They will challenge Liberty in the NCS Open/Division I playoffs this Friday, aiming to continue their successful run.
Performance Highlights and Upcoming Matches
Other notable teams include Acalanes, which remains unbeaten at 10-0 after overcoming Las Lomas 40-28, and is scheduled to meet Marin Catholic this Friday at 19:00. Serra, despite their recent loss to Archbishop Riordan, is positioned fifth and will compete against Archbishop Mitty on Saturday at 13:00.
The rankings also highlight the performance of Los Gatos and Mcclymonds, both maintaining solid records and looking to advance through the playoffs. Notably, Santa Teresa has emerged strongly with a perfect 10-0 record following their recent victory over Lincoln-San Jose.
