Beau Greaves Shines as She Targets PDC ProTour Stage
Beau Greaves has solidified her position in darts with an impressive winning streak, claiming her 86th consecutive victory in the PDC Women’s Series. The 21-year-old from Doncaster has not only dominated the women’s circuit but is now poised to take her talents to the PDC ProTour. Laura Turner, a former player and current Sky Sports analyst, praised Greaves’ performance, describing her throw as “perfection.”
Greaves’ latest achievement came during the weekend, extending her streak of consecutive wins to an astounding 13 events. Since her last loss to Gemma Hayter in April, she has steadily climbed the ranks, finishing second in the Development Tour standings, which has earned her a Tour Card for the 2026/27 season. Her statistics are remarkable:
86 wins in a row, 13 consecutive Women’s Series titles, and 18 Women’s Series titles in 2025.
In a pivotal moment, Greaves triumphed over world champion Luke Littler in a thrilling last-leg decider, making her the first woman to reach the final of the World Youth Championship against defending champion Gian van Veen next month in Minehead.
Turner Reflects on Greaves’ Progress
Turner faced Greaves in Event 24 of the Women’s Series, where she was handily defeated 4-0. Despite the loss, she expressed admiration for Greaves’ rapid ascent in the sport. “What she’s doing in the sport at the moment is absolutely phenomenal,” Turner remarked. “I’m excited to see what next year brings because we’re going to see her on the ProTour, among the big 128. That’s really exciting.”
Turner noted Greaves’ evolution as a player, highlighting her newfound confidence. “She understands where her game is at and will take the next step when she’s ready,” she said, underscoring the importance of Greaves’ personal journey in the sport.
Wayne Mardle, another prominent figure in darts commentary, has also lauded Greaves’ throwing technique, describing it as “beautiful.” Turner echoed this sentiment, emphasizing Greaves’ consistency and the transformation in her performance. “You have to be on your game from the very start. If you’re not, it would take the best game of my life to actually get past her.”
Future Prospects and Women’s Series Growth
Greaves will be one of five players from the Women’s Series competing at the PDC World Championship, which kicks off at London’s Alexandra Palace on December 11, 2023, and runs until January 3. Alongside Greaves, Fallon Sherrock, Noa-Lynn van Leuven, and Hayter qualified through their Women’s Series ranking points, while Lisa Ashton earned her spot as the Women’s World Matchplay champion.
Turner noted the increasing opportunities for women in the sport, stating, “We’re seeing more tournaments and increases in prize money. The Women’s Series is attracting over 100 players nearly every occasion, and ideally, we want to see that grow to a consistent 128.”
The potential for a dedicated women’s world championship has been discussed, though Turner believes the sport still requires further development. “I think we are finally seeing the depth of talent,” she said, advocating for more opportunities for female players at events like the UK Open.
Additionally, Turner expressed her support for Sherrock’s decision to take a break from darts in 2026 due to health concerns related to a long-standing kidney disease. “If she feels it is the right time just to step away, then absolutely. It’s what’s right for her at the time,” Turner stated.
As the darts community eagerly anticipates Greaves’ next moves, including her participation in the upcoming world championship, her journey reflects a significant shift in the landscape of the sport, paving the way for future female talent. Sky Sports will continue to cover major darts events, including the World Cup of Darts and the Grand Slam of Darts, as the excitement in the sport continues to build.
