Federal Agents Spotted in Halloween Masks at DHS Site in LA
BREAKING: Federal agents were seen wearing Halloween masks while patrolling a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) operational area in the Port of Los Angeles this week. The disturbing incident occurred on October 24, 2025, and has raised alarm among community members who monitor federal immigration enforcement.
Volunteers from the Harbor Area Peace Patrol documented the agents wearing masks reminiscent of horror movie characters. A community member, known only as Phoebe, reported seeing agents donning a Chucky mask around 7:23 a.m. followed by another in a Momo mask just ten minutes later. “They slowed down, rolled down the window, and stared directly into my camera wearing a Chucky mask,” Phoebe stated, expressing her distress at the situation.
The masked agents were spotted leaving Terminal Island, a location frequently used by DHS and ICE vehicles before operations. Phoebe and her fellow patrollers document the comings and goings of these vehicles, aiming to expose immigration enforcement actions in the area. “It just reaffirmed that they really have fun doing this type of work, terrorizing our communities,” she added.
Despite the chilling images captured by Phoebe, there is currently no evidence that the masks were utilized during enforcement operations later that day. The Department of Homeland Security has yet to respond to requests for comment regarding the incident.
The story first gained traction through L.A. TACO, an independent news outlet focusing on Los Angeles communities. Their report included a statement from Tricia McLaughlin, Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security for Public Affairs, who quipped, “Happy Halloween!” in response to the incident.
The same white van seen leaving the Terminal Island facility has been linked to multiple immigration raids across Los Angeles, including a notable operation in Van Nuys on the same day. Phoebe noted that on October 20, the same driver was spotted wearing a Mr. Potato Head-style disguise while exiting the DHS facility.
“This felt different,” Phoebe remarked, emphasizing that the agents seemed to go out of their way to make their presence known. The atmosphere surrounding the incident has instilled fear in the local community, who view these actions as deliberately provocative.
Authorities have been contacted for clarification, and this story will be updated as more information becomes available. The actions of federal agents in Halloween masks have sparked significant concern about the tone of immigration enforcement in the area, raising questions about the professionalism and intent behind such displays.
As the situation develops, community members and advocacy groups are closely monitoring federal activities, hoping to shed light on the implications of such behavior during sensitive immigration enforcement operations. Stay tuned for further updates on this alarming incident.
