Free Thanksgiving Meals Offered Across Boulder County Tomorrow

URGENT UPDATE: Boulder County is rolling out a series of free Thanksgiving meals tomorrow, November 23, 2023, providing essential support to the community during the holiday. Local organizations are stepping up to ensure that everyone can enjoy a warm meal.

OUR Center in Longmont will kick off the festivities by serving its annual Thanksgiving lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 220 Collyer St.. This event is expected to draw a crowd, offering not just food but a sense of community to those in need.

In Boulder, Second Baptist Church is hosting traditional Thanksgiving meals at two locations. The first meal will be served at 8:30 a.m. at 1212 Canyon Blvd., followed by a second serving at 9:00 a.m. at 5300 Baseline Road. Both locations will also provide clothes and essential supplies for guests experiencing homelessness, making this a critical resource for many.

At Unity of Boulder Spiritual Center, guests are invited to a community potluck dinner from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 2855 Folsom St.. Attendees are encouraged to bring a dish to share, fostering a spirit of togetherness.

In Louisville, participants in the Louisville Turkey Trot, starting at 9:00 a.m., can enjoy refreshments, including hot chocolate and coffee, near Walnut and Front streets. Proceeds from this event will benefit Community Food Share, emphasizing the importance of giving back during the holiday season.

Lastly, the Niwot Community Connection group will host a Thanksgiving potluck meal from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Niwot Hall, 195 Second Ave. This gathering aims to bring the community together to celebrate and share.
