Kash Patel’s FBI Jet Use Sparks Outrage Amid Government Shutdown
BREAKING: FBI Director Kash Patel is facing intense backlash from frustrated officials within the Trump administration over his controversial use of the bureau’s jet for personal trips, including a recent visit to a lavish private hunting resort. New revelations from the Wall Street Journal expose Patel’s lavish travel habits, intensifying scrutiny during a critical government shutdown.
The report details how Patel utilized the FBI’s jet to travel to a high-end hunting venue known as the Boondoggle Ranch in San Angelo, Texas. This trip occurred while the government was shut down, sparking outrage among Justice Department officials and raising eyebrows in the White House. The jet reportedly made numerous trips since Patel’s appointment, with recent journeys including a wrestling event in State College, Pennsylvania, and visits to Nashville, Tennessee, where his girlfriend, a country music singer, performed.
In late October, Patel’s use of the jet drew public criticism after a former FBI agent, Kyle Seraphin, labeled the taxpayer-funded travel “pathetic” amidst ongoing government constraints. The jet remained parked in San Angelo from October 29 to November 1, a period during which the government was officially closed.
Patel’s travel habits have sparked frustration among both Justice Department officials and the White House, which had previously instructed cabinet members to limit travel, particularly for non-essential purposes. An anonymous administration official revealed that complaints about Patel’s trips have reached the White House, further complicating his standing among administration insiders.
The Wall Street Journal indicates that Patel’s jet-setting lifestyle has become a “source of gossip within the bureau,” with insiders noting that even President Donald Trump has expressed irritation privately, although he continues to support Patel publicly.
In response to the growing controversy, Patel’s office issued a stern rebuttal to the Wall Street Journal, with Patel stating, “Thankfully, Americans can see through WSJ hot garbage—this FBI has never been stronger.” Meanwhile, White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt reinforced support for Patel, emphasizing that Trump is “very proud of the work the FBI is doing under Director Patel’s leadership.”
This ongoing situation raises significant questions about the ethical boundaries of government officials and the responsible use of taxpayer resources. As the fallout continues, all eyes are on Patel’s next moves and how the administration will address the mounting scrutiny.
