Trump Demands Rep. Massie Be “Thrown Out” Amid GOP Feud
URGENT UPDATE: President Donald Trump has intensified his feud with rogue Republican Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), demanding he be “thrown out of office.” This outburst comes as Trump criticized Massie’s performance and expressed support for a potential challenger, Captain Ed Gallrein, a Navy SEAL and Army Ranger, on his Truth Social platform.
In a fiery post just moments ago, Trump labeled Massie a “weak and pathetic RINO” (Republican In Name Only), emphasizing that he must be removed from Congress as soon as possible. “The incredible people of Kentucky’s 4th Congressional District gave us a mandate to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, and the person that will help us do that is Captain Ed Gallrein,” Trump stated, urging him to run against Massie.
Trump’s post highlighted that Massie is currently polling at a mere 9%, asserting that voters have grown wise to his alleged failures in supporting the Republican agenda. “Unlike ‘lightweight’ Massie, a totally ineffective LOSER, CAPTAIN ED GALLREIN IS A WINNER WHO WILL NOT LET YOU DOWN,” Trump declared. He has now thrown his “Complete and Total Endorsement” behind Gallrein, urging him to “RUN, ED, RUN — MAGA!”
This verbal onslaught follows Trump’s earlier attacks on Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), whom he accused of failing the Republican Party by not voting positively on key issues. Trump’s criticisms come amid heightened tensions within the GOP, as factions within the party clash over core values and leadership.
In a separate but related development, Trump also announced the commutation of the sentence for George Santos, a former New York congressman convicted of fraud. On Truth Social, he framed Santos as a “rogue,” comparing his situation to that of other politicians not facing similar penalties. “I started to think about George when the subject of Democrat Senator Richard ‘Da Nang Dick’ Blumenthal came up again,” Trump wrote.
The implications of these conflicts extend beyond party politics. As the government shutdown looms, a new analysis warns that essential services, including school lunches, are at risk. This situation poses significant challenges for food-insecure families and children who rely on these meals as a critical resource. The Huffington Post reports that halted federal funding could jeopardize these programs, adding to the urgency of the current political climate.
Observers are keenly watching how these internal GOP disputes and the threat of a government shutdown will affect upcoming elections and the overall stability of the party. With tensions running high, the political landscape in Kentucky and beyond is rapidly evolving.
What happens next? The response from Massie and Gallrein will be crucial in the coming days as the fallout from Trump’s statements unfolds. Political analysts anticipate that Gallrein’s potential candidacy will reshape the dynamics of the GOP in Kentucky and may influence Trump’s standing within the party.
