Urgent Recall: Baby Formula Linked to Botulism Illness in 10 States

The recalled formula, identified as Whole Nutrition Infant Formula, is associated with two specific lots: 206VABP/251261P2 and 206VABP/251131P2. All 13 hospitalized infants consumed formula from these lots, raising alarms among health authorities. The states involved include Arizona, California, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, and Washington. Fortunately, no fatalities have been reported.

The CDC has advised parents to take immediate action if they have purchased the recalled formula. They should keep track of the lot number before discarding or returning the product. Additionally, they are urged to thoroughly clean any items and surfaces that may have come into contact with the formula, using either a dishwasher or hot, soapy water.
