**Urgent Update: Richmond Police Identify Victim in Fatal Shooting**

UPDATE: Authorities have identified the victim of a deadly shooting in Richmond, California, as 23-year-old Josue Cornejo. The shooting occurred in the Iron Triangle area early on November 17, 2023, and police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.

At approximately 5:55 a.m., police dispatch received alerts from a gunshot detection system in the 1400 block of Bissell Avenue near Marina Way. Multiple callers reported hearing the gunfire, prompting a swift response from local law enforcement. Officers arrived to find Cornejo on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

This incident marks one of four homicides being investigated by Richmond police this year, raising serious concerns about community safety.
