Victor Oladipo Joins Bucks’ G League Team, Eyes NBA Comeback
BREAKING: Two-time NBA All-Star Victor Oladipo has officially joined the Wisconsin Herd, the G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks. This news, announced just moments ago, marks a significant step in Oladipo’s journey back to the NBA after a long recovery from a serious injury.
Oladipo, who has not played in the NBA since the 2022-23 season, is set to make his debut with the Herd following his acquisition from the Santa Cruz Warriors. The Herd secured Oladipo’s rights after the Warriors, who had waiver priority, claimed him and subsequently traded his rights to the Bucks for a 2027 first-round pick in the G-League draft.
This development comes after Oladipo suffered a torn left patellar tendon during the first round of the 2023 playoffs while playing for the Miami Heat against the Bucks. His last appearance in the NBA was in April 2023, and he has been working hard to return to form. Although he hasn’t suited up in an official NBA game since then, Oladipo participated in preseason games last month with the Guangzhou Loong-Lions of the Chinese Basketball Association.
In his 10-year NBA career, Oladipo, now 33 years old, has averaged 16.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game on 44% shooting. He was named an All-Star in consecutive years, 2018 and 2019, showcasing his potential to contribute significantly to any team.
The Bucks are optimistic about Oladipo’s impact on the Herd and are closely monitoring his progress as he aims to make a comeback to the NBA. Fans and analysts will be watching intently to see how he performs in the G League, which could pave the way for his return to the professional basketball spotlight.
This urgent update highlights the resilience of Oladipo and the Bucks’ commitment to supporting his journey back to the court. Stay tuned for more developments as Oladipo prepares to take the court with the Herd and potentially return to the NBA.
