Polish Father and Daughter Charged with Incest After Shocking Discovery

A father and daughter in Poland face serious charges after authorities discovered the remains of three deceased infants in their home. Piotr Gierasik, 54, and his 20-year-old daughter Paulina Gierasik have been charged with incest and murder following a raid on their property in Czerniki in September 2023. The investigation revealed a disturbing scenario involving both incestuous relationships and allegations of sexual assault against another daughter.

Kasia Gierasik, Piotr’s other daughter, escaped from her father’s home two and a half years ago. She has since described her father as a “monster,” expressing deep concern for her sisters who allegedly suffered abuse. In an interview with TVN Uwaga, she stated, “I am worried about my sisters. Because they were sleeping with our father.” Kasia, who has Down syndrome, emphasized her desire to never see her father again, saying, “He is a monster, not a man.”

Father Czesaw Marchewicz, who runs a shelter where Kasia sought refuge, recounted her condition upon arrival. He noted, “She came here completely neglected,” and described her plight as akin to living in a “concentration camp.” Father Marchewicz detailed how the Gierasik family exploited children with disabilities for income, highlighting the neglect and abuse Kasia endured.

During the raid, authorities uncovered the remains of three infants in the basement of the Gierasik home. Some of the remains were reportedly covered in plastic and showed advanced signs of decay. Prosecutors allege that two of the infants were the result of the incestuous relationship between Piotr and Paulina, while the third is believed to be from an older sister whom Piotr is accused of sexually assaulting.

Local residents and co-workers of Kasia from a bakery in Stara Kiszewa have shared troubling insights about the family’s dynamic. They revealed that Kasia idolized her father “as if he were God,” despite his abusive behavior. One colleague recounted an instance where Kasia appeared to conceal a pregnancy, stating, “I think she had tied belts around herself like a sort of corset.”

As the investigation unfolds, the community remains in shock over the allegations against Piotr Gierasik and the tragic circumstances surrounding the discovered remains. The case has raised significant concerns regarding child welfare and the protection of vulnerable individuals within the home environment.
