Pre-Dawn Shooting Claims Life of 19-Year-Old in Wilmington
A tragic shooting in Wilmington, Delaware, has left a 19-year-old man dead following an incident in the early hours of Friday morning. The event occurred around 3:31 a.m. on March 15, 2024, in the Southbridge section of the city, prompting an immediate response from law enforcement.
According to the Wilmington Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 200 block of South Claymont Street after receiving reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they discovered a young male victim suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
As of now, authorities have not released any information regarding possible suspects or the motive behind the shooting. The investigation is still underway, with detectives actively collecting evidence and interviewing potential witnesses to piece together the circumstances surrounding this violent event.
